About DAR

David A. Ruth, aka DAR, head Instructor/Coach at iDINKiCAN Pickleball, has been an active member of the Pickleball community since 2015, when he found and fell in love with the sport during his travels as a video producer. His addiction to the game grew over the next few years as he visited pickleball courts throughout his travels and developed his skills in preparation to compete.

After traveling throughout 2015, David and his family landed in the Annapolis, MD area. He quickly found and joined the Annapolis Pickleball Club and immersed himself in the local pickleball community. In 2016 David entered his first tournament and struck Gold. Since then, David has earned several tournament medals at a 4.0 level.

David is a people person who loves the social side of pickleball. A PPR Certified Coach, he is excited about teaching and coaching, and looks forward to working with you on your game.

My Winning Philosophy

I believe in the K.I.S.S. system (Keep It Simple Silly). Have Fun, Be Competitive and ... HAVE FUN! Pickleball really is easy to learn and you can move at your own pace. It’s a comfortable sport to grow with!
